Company verification (KYB)

Complete the Verification section in the company console: business details, ownership and authorized-person information, and requested supporting documents. Submit the application for review. Approval and product access are separate: cards, services, and funding each require their own capability and an enabled integration. Editing approved company information can require another review.

Cardholders (KYC)

A company and an individual cardholder are different records. Creating a cardholder does not imply successful live identity verification. Live holders begin in needs_information; issuance requires a verified holder belonging to the same company and environment. Sandbox holders are automatically verified only to let you exercise the integration. They are not approved identities and cannot be used with live keys. The exact evidence required for a live cardholder depends on the activated card program. Plane must confirm the applicable review process before live issuance. Do not send identity documents through an undocumented API field or to support chat; use the agreed secure submission channel.

What approval does not mean

An approved company does not automatically enable every product, lift limits, or bypass card-detail permissions. A live key with insufficient scopes still receives an authorization error.
